The lives of the unborn, the drug addicted, the disabled, and the elderly all deserve our protection. I support life from the moment of conception until natural death.
We need to do more than say we are pro-life. We must make it easier for good families to foster and adopt children, treat and return the addicted to our families and workforce, and always make sure our Seniors are treated with the respect and care they deserve.
I am proud to have maintained a Pro-life voting record and to be a co-sponsor of the “Heartbeat Bill” this year.
I support focusing dollars to classrooms to support much-needed updating and modernization of facilities. I was proud to support the teacher pay raise and pay our deserving teachers even more. This can continue to be done without raising taxes.
All students—from challenged to gifted—are better served with more educational choices where parents can decide what’s best for their kids. We must also expand our great technical school system and vocational opportunities.
I have always voted to protect and expand gun owners’ rights. We’re watching our Second Amendment rights be stripped in states all over this country, and I will stand firm in making sure this never happens in South Carolina.
We recognize that gun free zones become soft targets. Ancient and modern history teaches us that the best way to stop an “armed bad guy” is an “armed good guy.”
I have been a continual advocate for all possible state resources, including infrastructure and development, to make our growing community even more inviting to job providers of today and tomorrow.
My votes continue to be focused on keeping our taxes are low and maintaining a regulatory environment to help businesses and workers prosper.
The tax revenue generated by our area’s own drivers and our many visitors needs to make its way back up here from Columbia. I was proud to support recent road funding and DOT reforms that brought more transparency and removed politics from the process.
Drivers in our area are seeing the difference that putting an emphasis on roads and infrastructure can make in our lives. Road upgrades and improvements contribute to quality of life, public safety, and economic development – fairly funded by a tax that all of us contribute to.
This is plain and simple—strict enforcement of existing state and federal laws. Illegal immigration must be stopped. If you want to come to this country to work and make a better life for your family, we welcome you. If you’re here to illegally live off our taxpayers, you aren’t welcome. I will stand against any city in South Carolina becoming a sanctuary city, and will push to fully prosecute all illegals charged with crimes if they are not deported.
